RN, BSN, CWOCN
STOMA SPECIALIST

I met someone who was looking for help on a Facebook ostomy support group page. I reached out to them and we began our virtual lessons. I was always a text away for questions or support. They were so grateful and suggested I create an online support site. 5 years later and Stoma Guru was finally created. My goal is to provide the same passion and support to you as I have to all my previous patients and family members.

What people are saying...

"I am an RN BSN in Michigan and was lucky enough to have worked with Kevin for 5 years in the home care setting. Each time I had a new ostomy patient, Kevin would be valuable resource and referred to see the patient. He found the right product for each patient making them feel at ease, relaxed and reassured that they could handle taking care of their own ostomy. He provided education to the patients and their caregivers along with tips, tricks, troubleshooting and support. "

I came across a Stoma Nurse named Kevin on FB. I reached out to him via FB messenger sharing my story and that day he responded. I had sooo many questions!!!!!! Kevin was kind enough to ask me to send pictures of the bag I was using, how I was measuring my stoma and to send him a video of how I was putting my bag on. Once I sent that to him, he immediately responded to me letting me know what I was doing wrong. He gave me suggestions on a new bag for my Stoma type and for my output. He suggested a certain powder I should use around my stoma since it was raw, and what I could do to slow my output down during bag changes. I immediately took all of his suggestions and started changing my supplies and process. This was a game changer for me.

"I worked with Kevin the home care world for almost 6 years. I got a firsthand look at the difference he can make in a person's life when they go home from the hospital with a stoma. I watched him skillfully and patiently teach each person how to manage and care for their stoma. I never did appreciate his skill and compassion more than when he helped my brother-in-law with his new stoma after cancer surgery. My brother-in-law was scared to death and overwhelmed. Kevin was able to teach, comfort and encourage him! He is now independent in managing his stoma and has done so for the last 5 years thanks to Kevin!
